They range from semiconductor industry and micro machining over refining technical surfaces on the nanometer scale up to specialized light sources or the switching of high currents.

Within this field of research the Ruhr-Universität Bochum possesses a unique selling proposition. Cooperations with partners in the Netherlands, Switzerland, France and Japan underline the competence and the acceptance of the plasma research performed here in Bochum.
